FREE EYRE & AG GUARD
The adequate protection of crops and farming assets is one of the most important annual investment decisions a farming family will make. At FREE Eyre, we have always believed that competition of critical input costs, like crop and farm insurance, is essential.
Only through new competition can we ensure that our shareholders and supporters are receiving the most competitively priced services, delivered locally and tailored to the individual farming entity.
FREE EYRE HAS ENGAGED RURAL INSURANCE SPECIALIST, AG GUARD, TO WORK WITH FARMERS TO UNDERSTAND THEIR INDIVIDUAL BUSINESS INSURANCE NEEDS AND THEN SOURCE THE MOST APPROPRIATE AND COMPETITIVE PRODUCTS AVAILABLE TO COVER THEIR INSURABLE RISK.
TAILORED. COMPETITIVE. PERSONAL.
OUR REFERRAL PARTNER
Ag Guard is a specialist broker of agricultural insurance products, marketing its personalised services to the rural community across Australia. Ag Guard's business model focuses on tailoring structured rural insurance products between growers and underwriters to address variable rural risks in a transparent and trustworthy manner – benefiting by sharing in reduced risk premiums.
With more competitive premiums available through this transparent liaison between grower and underwriter, Ag Guard's focus is to access the best available options from national and international insurers and deliver qualified, tailored insurance advice to the individual farming entity.
While FREE Eyre has a contractual arrangement with Ag Guard, it is focused solely on referring and introducing clients to Ag Guard. Any requirement for advice or product recommendations will be provided solely by Ag Guard as your insurance intermediary.
ACCESS TO INSURANCE MARKETS
Ag Guard operates as an Authorised Representative of the Winley Insurance Group (WIG) and is part of the Winley Group of Financial Service Companies. WIG represents a diverse range of over 130 underwriting markets as well as providing a full spectrum of insurance, finance and commercial mortgage products.
WORKING WITH FREE EYRE
The FREE Eyre strategic partnership with Ag Guard is simple, personal and transparent. The FREE Eyre team will introduce and refer growers to the Ag Guard team. Ag Guard will then search for the most appropriate and cost effective insurance cover in the market place and prepare a formal proposal to the farmer, personally explaining the terms and conditions of the insurance cover that has been recommended.
WHAT HAPPENS WHEN I HAVE AN INSURANCE CLAIM?
In the event of a claim event, Ag Guard will assist our growers to complete a claim notification form which will then be forwarded to the insurance company. The insurer will then appoint a local assessor who will contact the client accordingly. Each insurance company has a slightly different claims process, but the majority of insurers utilise the same panel of local assessors and Ag Guard would help to coordinate this assessment process.
SO WHY CONSIDER FREE EYRE AND AG GUARD?
The formation of the strategic partnership between FREE Eyre and Ag Guard supports the model that FREE Eyre was founded on. In addition, Ag Guard brings increased competition to a relatively closed insurance market, as well as offering a more personalised service for local farmers.
Ag Guard work with many insurance underwriters and being a fully licensed insurance broker, have access to almost all insurance markets. This access provides the ability to obtain the best value insurance cover available in the market.
