Farmer Friday

MEET Jack Flavel from Gladstone, mid-north of SA!

Jack’s family are grain producers but are currently leasing out their land. In the past, they have grown barley, wheat, peas and beans.

When Jack isn’t busy studying Ag Science at The University of Adelaide, he enjoys casually lending a hand around the farm.

What does Jack love most about being involved in the Agricultural industry?

“There’s nothing better than the feeling of community that is often associated within the industry.

Being involved in grain production is really good because it is such a large industry and there are so many people to meet.”

“It’s important for the growth of the industry that grain growers continue improving yields and productivity through the adaption of new technologies available in the field,” says Jack.

We agree Jack! Keep up the great work.
